Kingsbury is a specialist supplier of premium CNC machine tools, operating across the UK, Ireland and the Gulf. With ambitious growth targets and no in-house marketing function, the business needed a flexible partner that could act as an outsourced marketing department, connecting strategic planning with activity designed to generate new customers.

Challenge

Kingsbury needed an integrated marketing programme that could support its sales strategy across multiple markets. The remit covered overarching strategy, creative, digital, PR, social media and CRM management, with all activity aligned to the sales strategy and HubSpot infrastructure. The goal was to build a connected, responsive marketing function focused on developing customer leads.

Solution

The first three months focused on onboarding and supporting key, immediate events. With those priority activations delivered, we developed a strategic blueprint and comprehensive marketing plan, mapping activity across creative, social media, PR, email campaigns, content marketing and website management under one coordinated framework.

Working closely with Kingsbury’s other partners, we embedded marketing campaigns directly within HubSpot CRM, connecting marketing and sales activity and helping create a more joined-up approach to lead development.

Strategy: Powered by People

The strategy focused on sharpening Kingsbury’s brand messaging and creating clearer differentiation in the market. At its heart was ‘Powered by People’, a positioning designed to communicate the Kingsbury difference: a customer-first approach that combines engineering knowledge with machine solutions to solve customers’ problems.

We put Kingsbury’s people and expertise at the centre of communications, with real team members explaining real manufacturing challenges. This brought the brand’s knowledge to life and gave audiences a clearer view of the people behind the engineering solutions.

Kingsbury’s sales team follows the Sandler methodology, which centres on trust, consultative selling and uncovering genuine customer pain points rather than hard selling. We reflected that philosophy in the communications strategy, prioritising useful, educational content that builds credibility. The aim was to help leads arrive better informed and more prepared for a consultative sales conversation.

Channels: PR, Social & Content

We recognised that PR, social media and thought leadership can build awareness, trust and search for authority well before a prospect submits a form or becomes a HubSpot lead. We developed content themes and key messaging aligned with the strategy, focusing on relevant sector news and Kingsbury-specific stories.

Content was created for both the Kingsbury brand and the people at its heart, including the managing director and sales team, with an emphasis on video and timely content. Our Studio also developed supporting creative collateral, introducing new iconography and design devices to bring personality to the content, reinforce the ‘Unorthodox’ brand pillar and support the ‘Powered by People’ approach.

Scaling Digital Performance

As a HubSpot Solutions Partner, we overhauled Kingsbury’s CRM strategy, empowering the Sales Team to better nurture and convert leads. Not only this, but we created a robust sequencing system that enabled us to run a tailored email marketing programme that delivered the right messages to the right people.

By having a smart HubSpot solution in place, we can better track leads, growth and deals, which is critical for a B2B brand like Kingsbury.

Impact

Throughout the partnership, our dedicated team has acted as an extension of Kingsbury’s marketing function, providing strategic thinking, creative execution and technical expertise to support growth across the UK, Ireland and the Gulf. Six months into the programme, the results have included:

  • 300% increase in leads compared with the previous period

  • 42% improvement in average search engine results page (SERP) position

  • Three sales opportunities worth more than £4 million attributed to marketing

  • Nearly £600,000 in customer sales directly attributed to marketing activity

We continue to support Kingsbury as their integrated marketing partner.
