Learn how we helped improve the Gambling Commission’s internal narrative with a four-part workshop.

Challenge

To enable the Gambling Commission convey a clear mission narrative to its team: the Commission Story.

We were briefed to develop a bespoke workshop delivered to the Gambling Commission’s entire 300 colleague community at their Colleague Conference held at Birmingham Town Hall in February 2023.

This would allow them to continue to effectively regulate a changing industry, ensuring all colleagues are on the same page.

Solution

We devised a four-part programme for our workshop:

  1. It first started with an ice breaker – human bingo – to get the audience engaged
  2. This was followed by a Superpowers activity to help colleagues understand the different strengths they all bring to the table
  3. The third activity explored the behaviours which could empower the Gambling Commission colleague community to help tell the Commission story, using facilitated discussion and live voting
  4. Finally, the workshop concluded with the generation of an Action Plan so everyone leaving the conference committed to up to six actions to help tell the Commission Story in their own individual way

Impact

The impact was a very satisfied client who felt the workshop truly delivered on the brief. They said:

“Rachel and the Leopard team were brilliant from the very beginning; from starting conversations right, crafting the agenda and right through to final delivery of the event. They were able to meet our needs and understood what the organisation needed at that very moment.”

Through engaging conversations and tailored interactive activities, they were able to focus our colleagues on the Commission Story and the role they played within that and making the Commission a great place to work. They’re also a lovely, happy, and wonderful bunch to collaborate and work with!
