We are excited to announce our upcoming Love Ideas Hackathon on February 13, which promises to bring together three of our favourite things - passion, creativity and purpose!

Rooted in the principles of behavioural science, our one-day workshop will be dedicated to creating impactful marketing campaigns for two fantastic charities who work to support our community.

In a world where social causes need more visibility and support than ever, we believe that fresh ideas can spark meaningful change.

Our hackathon will unite PR and marketing talent from across our fabulous client network, as well as our very own Leopard team, as we come together to help our amazing charity partners.

Attendees will be divided into two groups, with each team assigned to develop a creative solution to a problem posed by one of our charity partners.

The teams will then have five hours to develop a solution that has a measurable impact on the lives it is looking to change. The limited time helps to create a sense of jeopardy and pressure that is designed to focus minds and build a shared sense of purpose.

The limited time period of the hackathon adds jeopardy and urgency to the workshop, designed to help foster focus and teamwork that’s underpinned with a shared sense of purpose.

Core elements of the fast-paced hackathon workshop include:

  • An informative session exploring the power of applied behavioural science in marketing campaigns
  • Timed creative thinking sessions
  • A working lunch (and time to socialise with workshop participants)
  • An outcomes session where each team pitches their solution to their charity partner.

The main aim of the day is to not only offer a fun opportunity to collaborate with other talented creative professionals, but also create a safe space where participants can share knowledge and experiences that will enhance their professional growth whilst also contributing to meaningful causes that align with their values.

The Love Ideas Hackathon is the latest in our series of workshops that look at how behavioural science can enhance creative campaigns to generate tangible results. The teams will explore how frameworks such as EAST and COM-B can be used to understand consumer motivation and influence their choices, resulting in measurable behavioural change.

Charity Partners

Our charity partners for the hackathon are:

  • Birmingham Dogs Home – providing 24-hour a day care for stray, abandoned and relinquished dogs from across the West Midlands and South Staffordshire.
