To drive awareness of — and applications for — digital technology accelerators Digital Catapult’s latest 4 programmes.

Following organic social media and digital marketing work for its umbrella organisation, Catapult Network, we were appointed by Digital Catapult to strategically plan, build, and launch 4 individual paid social campaigns across LinkedIn.

With tight application parameters, each campaign needed to deliver quality applications for each programme — Bridge AI, Sonic LABS 1 & 2, and MSISA.

Solution

We created a robust paid social strategy designed specifically for LinkedIn to showcase the benefits of applying for the individual accelerators and generate FOMO to drive last-minute applications.

Using detailed briefs from Digital Catapult to build audience targeting and develop optimised copy, whilst incorporating pre-made assets, we aligned the roll-out of each campaign with the deadlines of each accelerator. 

Regular client check-ins and weekly reporting allowed us to make result-driven optimisations in real-time, from shifting audience tactics to changing bidding strategies.

Impact

  • Reached over 550,000 potential applicants in a single month
  • Created over 10,600 clicks through to the application pages, with a strong click-through rate of 1.91% — that’s 1.36% above the industry benchmark.
  • Built and maintained a cost-effective and efficient series of campaigns:
    • Overall CPM of £6.64 — 74% lower than the £25.75 industry average.
    • Overall CPC of £0.90 — 78% lower than the £4.25 industry average.
